The Serenity Experience in Riverside - Virtual Mini-Retreat
Welcome! This is where you’ll find all the links and information that you’ll need in order to create your personal mini-retreat. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at photo@jessicalin.ca.
The theme of the retreat is "Exiting the Pandemic with Intent", and the various activities will aim to reduce stress and allow time to consider what changes you might want to work towards moving through the coming year. You’ll be amazed what comes up when you allow your mind the time and space it needs :)
I wrote a blog post back in May about Intent, and it still feels very relevant to me. You can read the blog post here.
The very basics that you’ll need are a bit of time and space (you decide how much), comfy clothing, something easy to eat, and a way to record your thoughts (I like a physical journal and pen, but you can use a laptop). There are creative activities offered in a Choose Your Own Adventure style, so you can either choose your activities based on supplies you’ve already got, or choose your activities and find the needed supplies. This is meant to be FUN, with absolutely no pressure on creating an end result.
If you haven’t been following along with The Serenity Experience online content over the past couple of months, you might want to check out this series of Happiness Tips videos and/or our Scavenger Hunt (download the Goosechase app on your smartphone, and enter game code GZK46X to complete simple and fun happiness missions). These ideas will give you a head start on small things you can do to increase your sense of calm and happiness :)
Ready? Here are the links you’ll need to access everything for your mini-retreat:
In case you missed the kick-off meeting on Zoom, here’s a link to the recording. This gives an introduction to the elements of the retreat (found below), and will hopefully answer any questions you have, as well as putting you in an inspired mood going into your mini-retreat!
