Layers: The main background image is the ripples behind my brother-in-law’s boat, on the St. Lawrence, at sunset. The silhouetted trees are from Algonquin Park (Ontario). The “blizzard” is made up of layers of lichen, found in Grey Abbey, Northern Ireland, and also the salt left on a cookie sheet after my husband toasted pumpkin seeds. The firey “Northern Lights” is from an image of churning rapids near a waterfall just outside the West gate to Algonquin Park.
