Layers: trees from the magical Fontainebleau Forest south of Paris, surface lily pads from Monet’s famous pond, and the underwater view of lily pads is from a trip to a friend’s cottage in the Haliburton area of Ontario Canada. There are also two subtle layers in the background - one is a paving stone from the courtyard of the Palace at Versailles, and the other is detail from a meteorite in the collection of the Natural History Museum in Paris.
